400 years before Christ was born, Hippocrates wrote about the 4 personality types. He called them: Feeler, Sensor, Thinker and Intuitive.
Since then much has been written about this subject. There are advantages in knowing what kind of personality is yours and the ones you have to deal with on a daily basis.

Here are the color personalities known today by many network marketers as:
Yellows, Blues, Greens and Reds. Yellows and Greens make up 35% of the population each. Blues and Reds make up 15% of the population each.
Let's start with the Yellows. Yellows are open and indirect. Their motto is: Let's be friends! Their occupation would be: Teacher, Nurse or Counselor. They are the sweetest people. They are the kind of people who pick up strays on the street and look for a home for them. If they can't find one they will bring them home. Yellows like change, but not sudden change so you can't push a yellow into your business. Give them room to think and act on their own time. They can use the money of course, but money is not their primary concern, so no need to show them the money. Show them a plan where they can build deep not wide since they will be concerned about people under them as much as themselves.
What are the weaknesses of the Yellows? They are over sensitive, they take everything personally, they are followers, not goal oriented.
What are the qualities of the Yellows? They are the best listeners; they are dependable, patient, supportive and nurturer.
The Blues are open and direct. Their motto is: Let's have fun! Their occupation would be: Sales, entertainment, Public Speaking or artist. Lots of them are in network marketing. They are the most direct and creative people on the planet. They like to have fun in anything they do. Even their job must be fun in order for them to stick to it. Blues can make decisions in a split second; act before they think. Blues do like change, sometimes even too much. They have a tendency to jump from one opportunity to another very often. They like the money, but their first concern is fun, family and relationships. Teach them how to focus and build deep in their organization. Once you teach blues how to focus they will take off beyond your expectations.
What are the weaknesses of the Blues? They are unorganized, poor savers, talk too much, poor follow-ups and a bit exaggerate.
What are the qualities of the Blues? They are very creative, they are promoters, they are convincing and enthusiastic about what they do and have high energy.
The Greens are indirect and self-contained. Their motto is: Let's get the facts and figures!
Their occupation would be: Accountant, Engineer, Research and the like. They are the most analytical thinking people. They like to have all the facts and figures and like to be correct. They do not like loud over reacting people. They will take all the time they need before they join your opportunity. Greens will not make a sudden change at any cost. It could take months and sometimes years before they make their decision. They would welcome the money, but they would have to have the written proof on paper first to figure out how the money will come to them. You won't make Greens exited with any get rich quick scheme what so ever. They will build well and consistently in a good legit company.
What are the weaknesses of the Greens? They are over-analytical, hard to please, tend to be depressed, lonely and a bit pessimistic.
What are the qualities of the Greens? They are very organized, good planners, accurate, persistent and follow through.
The Reds are direct and self-contained. Their motto is: Get out of my way! Their occupation would be: CEO, Attorney, Airline Pilot. They are the most domineering people. They like to be right and in control. They are swift drivers, wear designer clothes and get to the point quickly. They do not like small talks, indecision and crying people. Reds make decisions fast and are the only people on the planet who like to be closed. They like to be sold and expect you to. They are the only people who could build as well as deep and wide. They are money oriented. Just show them the money and they will build it.
What are the weaknesses of the Reds? They have a big ego; they are short tempered, domineering, impatient and un-teachable.
What are the qualities of the Reds? They are focused, Goal oriented, risk takers, independent and intense.
